If you have read my previous post, My most used baby products with my 1 week old, well now that 1 week old is 1 month old! It’s crazy how fast time goes. I feel like she was literally born yesterday and we just brought her home to meet big brother.

A lot has changed in the past month though! We are living in and totally loving the newborn stage. Big brother is taking on his new role amazingly and is so in love (as we all are!) I am incredibly thankful our family is adjusting so well.

That doesn’t mean this past month has not come with it’s own challenges! I am learning how to be a mom of 2 and I have come up with my favorite products I have been using with my 1 month old to make life a little easier.

Baby Lounger

There are a ton of them on the market but I have been loving my snuggle me organic! This thing is perfect to go with me from room to room. Weather I am doing something in the kitchen, putting away laundry, just hanging out on the couch, this lounger is a perfect place for my baby to be.

It makes her feel all cozy and snuggly and while not safe for night time sleep, she does cat nap in it perfectly during the day when I can keep my eye on her. After she starts rolling I will have to keep it on the floor and not tall surfaces but for my 1 month old it is the perfect lounger!

Baby wraps

With having a 1 month old and a 3 year old my hands are ALWAYS busy. I used my baby wraps with my first but this time baby sis is LIVING in them!

I seriously baby wear so much that I have 2 wraps that I use weekly if not daily. I also love having 2 go-to wraps because if I am washing one I always have a backup.

Baby K’Tan

I have talked about the baby k’tan in my previous post, Most used baby items on a budget with my 1 week old and we are still using it consistently as my baby grows. This is the best wrap if you are in a time crunch and don’t have an extra minute to make sure your wrap is tied well or tight enough. It is already pre wrapped for you!

This wrap comes in sizes (you get whatever shirt size you wear) and is pre wrapped meaning you don’t have to tie or tighten it to your body. There are also a few different ways to wear it as your baby grows (watch some how to’s on YouTube!)

My 3 year old likes to ride his power jeep around the neighborhood or walk to the park and this is the perfect wrap for me to throw on quickly and chase him out the door. It’s also super comfy for both me and my baby- she falls asleep in it every time!

WeeSprout Wrap

I got this wrap as a gift for my second baby and had never heard of this brand until I looked them up on amazon. I was so surprised at how affordable this wrap is because it is such great quality!

It is a true wrap where it is a long piece of fabric that you wrap and tie to your body. There are also plenty of YouTube videos on this one- really easy to get the hang of. It truly competes with some of the larger name brand wraps and is half the cost.

The WeeSprout is stretchy but also really supports baby well. I like how this wrap holds baby in really secure and also does not hurt your back or shoulders at all. I recently wore this to an outdoor event with my toddler for a few hours. It was really hot and we were on our feet the whole time. I did not have one complaint about this wrap though. It really did the job and was comfortable on my back and shoulders even for a couple of hours.

Another great thing about this wrap- all the cute designs and colors it comes in! And since it is really budget friendly, you can get multiple wraps with different designs.

Bath seat

I have a pretty long baby and she outgrew her sink baths pretty quickly. Not to mention when you are a mom of 2, combining baths is pretty much a necessity at times.

I am reusing the bath seat we used for my first baby and it is still in perfect condition. We are using the Angelcare baby bath seat which you just put down in the regular tub. The bath seat has holes in the seat so the water just soaks through the bottom.

This makes for the perfect set up for my baby and toddler to do bath at the same time. Such a game changer when we got to this point! Makes bath time a lot quicker and my toddler LOVES bathing with baby sister, although he really wants her to play with all his toys!

MAM pacifiers and paci clips

I talked about this is one of my previous posts, Favorite gifts to give and receive at a baby shower, but you never know for sure which pacifier (if any!) you’ll use until your baby arrives.

We tried the hospital pacifiers and the nanobebe with my little girl and she gagged on both of them. They were just a little big for her mouth. So we tried the MAM pacifiers and they were the winner!

I have already bought 3 packs of these (you can’t have enough pacifiers). You seriously need one in every room, a couple in the diaper bag and in the car! You might think I’m going overboard but there isn’t anything worse than having a screaming baby and you can’t find a dang paci!

I also got these adorable pacifier clips on amazon which are a must. Especially if you are going anywhere with your baby in public. You don’t need that pacifier dropping on the floor at the store or in the parking lot, ew.

Haakaa

If you have read any of my previous posts about baby products, you know my love for the haakaa. I have been using this every time I nurse my baby at home and have saved a few hundred ounces of breastmilk so far! I am so excited to have a jump start on my freezer stash this time around.

You just suction this silicone pump to the opposite side your baby is feeding from and collect the let down of milk on that side. The suction is all it takes! In the morning I am able to get 3-4oz on one side alone. Throughout the day I can get 1-2oz with the haakaa.

Every person and breastfeeding journey is different but I can’t say enough good things about it. If you are breast feeding and trying to get a freezer stash goin you need to give it a try!

This is from ONE side after my baby’s first feeding of the day!

Burp rags

This one should be at the top of my list! I go through at least 3 burp rags each day with my baby. She’s the spit up queen! Especially if she doesn’t burp.

Thankfully, I still have all my burp rags I used with my son but of course I had to get some cute girly ones when I had my little girl! I love this set of 4 from Gerber, they are cute, small and get the job done.

Saline spray

I use this every night with my baby. Poor thing gets so congested at night! I spray this after her bath and then suction her nose. With my first baby, I used a humidifier at night and I’m probably crazy but they scare me to use too often because they can collect mold so easily. And, lets be real, I have a newborn and a toddler. I have enough to clean- I don’t want to have to clean a humidifier every day too.

Play mat

Now that my baby is a month old, she is starting to notice things around her that catch her attention. Its been fun to lay her on the play mat and watch her looking at her toys that dangle. My toddler also LOVES to lay with her and try to point things out for her to look at.

It’s also great for tummy time. It has a little pillow I can prop under her chest and helps her keep her head up. She actually holds her head up really well for a one month old! Tummy time is to help babies build muscle and keep their head up and also helps their head to not be flat from laying on their back all the time.

I have the play mat in her room so its a great place to set her under while I am putting away laundry or cleaning up. I am using the same one I used with my first baby- I kept everything and am so glad I did. Has saved me so much money!

There you have it! My favorite products I am using for my one month old. I always like to try to reuse and get the most cost effective things I can. That is especially important to me now that I have 2 kids! Babies outgrow stuff so quickly and don’t use things very long anyway.

I hope you found this list useful and I’d love to hear if you have any other favorite product recommendations for a 1 month old!
